The business of helping lawyers chase ambulances has itself become sophisticated enough to warrant its own awards ceremonies, or at least its own award.
ADSQUIRE, a Philadelphia-based agency that specializes in buying digital advertising on behalf of personal injury lawyers and other attorneys, has been named "Leading Legal Advertising Agency 2026 - USA" by CEO Monthly, a publication that bestows such titles with what appears to be considerable frequency.
The agency's founder and chief executive, Anthony Higman, was also recognized as "Most Influential CEO 2026: Legal Marketing - USA," which suggests either a remarkable year for Mr. Higman or a somewhat narrow competitive field.
ADSQUIRE occupies a niche within a niche: it buys Google search ads and so-called Local Services Ads exclusively for law firms, particularly those practicing in areas where a single click from a prospective client can cost hundreds of dollars. (The economics of digital advertising for motorcycle accident lawyers are apparently not for the faint of heart.)
"Legal PPC is fundamentally different from advertising for most other businesses," Mr. Higman said in a statement, using the industry shorthand for pay-per-click advertising. "When a single click can cost hundreds of dollars and a qualified case can be worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, you need an agency that understands both the advertising platform and the economics of the legal industry."
The award arrives at a moment when the legal profession's embrace of advertising — once forbidden by bar associations and still viewed with some ambivalence by the lawyers who benefited from the prohibition — has become thoroughly unremarkable. What Bates v. State Bar of Arizona made possible in 1977, Google has made unavoidable.
Mr. Higman offered a more plainspoken summary of his firm's value proposition: "Clicks don't pay the bills for law firms. Qualified opportunities do."
Somewhere, the partners at white-shoe firms are quietly grateful their practice areas do not require such calculations.
